This course focuses on the introduction of fundamental statistics, the use of Excel in analyzing quantitative data, and interpretation of the statistical results. Main topics include: Data Collection and Analysis, General Statistics, Introduction to Probability, Probability Distributions, Sampling and Sampling Distributions, Estimate, Hypothesis Testing, Analysis of Variance, and Simple Linear Regression and Correlation Analysis. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to (1) have the understanding of statistical methods and develop analytical thinking skills; (2) adopt the statistical methods in identifying and solving the problems related to international business management.
