課程概述 The course will lead the students to read English literature for children and to help the students to improve the reading skill and to understand the western culture. In class, by discussing the contexts of the literary works, students can interpret the literary works from different perspectives

參考書籍 本課程以閱讀和進行各種活動、遊戲、戲劇表演、閱讀心得、 製作小書等方式介紹英美兒童文學作品。
In this course, we will use a variety of materials and activities to introduce English Children's Literature to students. Activities include playing games, reader theater, role play, reader response sheet, recording video, and making your own books.

Please pay attention to the course requirements:
1. Attendance is obligatory. Remember to ask for a leave in advance if you cannot be in class. Your grade will be affected by the number of unapproved absences you have.
2. Active class participation is a must. You are required to complete assigned readings and activities before coming to class. Be prepared for class discussions.
3. Turn in your assignments on time. No late assignment is accepted.

3. Mid-term project (on one or two children’s books of your own choice) - 20%, including an oral presentation and a dramatic response.
