| 課程概述 |
This course offers students basic knowledge of translation in both Chinese and English. Students will discuss basic issues in translation and deals with more advanced issues such as metaphor, idioms, and text analysis.

Students will be able to learn things about translation theory and translate a short text fragment from English to Chinese or the other way around. Only Chinese characters are accepted for translations from Chinese to English, Mandarin pinyin is not supported. In addition to translating the text, a word dictionary lookup is also performed to help you to verify if the translation is correct.
